The 2K components mix together when the valve underneath the can is pressed with the red button. Once mixed, the paint needs to be applied within 8 hours. The activation will accelerate the hardening of the paint. Therefore it must be used within this time frame.
Ideal for refinishing exterior components of houses and commercial buildings : gutters, windows, doors, flower boxes etc… also to repair damaged components

Basic surface preparation
2K aerosol paint for doors and windows (2 components)
A) On brand new bare PVC:
- Carefully wash the part with acetone.
- Wash again with acetone just before starting painting. Ideally, also use a tack cloth to remove any residue of dust.
You are ready to apply the paint.
B) On painted PVC:
- Carefully wash the part with acetone.
- Wash again with acetone just before starting painting. Ideally, also use a tack cloth to remove any residue of dust.
You are ready to apply the paint.
C) On brand new bare aluminum (never painted)
- Carefully wash the part with acetone.
- Sand with 600 grit sandpaper.
- Wash again with acetone just before starting painting. Ideally, also use a tack cloth to remove any residue of dust.
- Apply Genicolor 2K Professional Series vinyl wash primer or Genicolor 1K vinyl wash primer.
You are ready to apply the paint.
IMPORTANT : For 2K products, it is mandatory to wear a carbon cartridge mask and have proper ventilation in the painting area.
D) On painted aluminum:
- Carefully wash the part with acetone.
- Sand with 600 grit sandpaper.
- Wash again with acetone just before starting painting. Ideally, also use a tack cloth to remove any residue of dust.
- Apply Genicolor 2K Professional Series vinyl wash primer or Genicolor 1K vinyl wash primer.
You are ready to apply the paint.
2 coats are usually sufficient.
IMPORTANT : For 2K products, it is mandatory to wear a carbon cartridge mask and have proper ventilation in the painting area.
E) On brand new bare metal. (never painted)
- Carefully wash the part with acetone.
- Sand with 600 grit sandpaper.
- Wash again with acetone just before starting painting. Ideally, also use a tack cloth to remove any residue of dust.
- Apply 1K alkyd primer or Genicolor Professional Series 2K primer filler.
- Light sand with 600 grit sandpaper.
- Wash again with acetone to remove any dust.
You are ready to apply the paint.
2 coats are usually sufficient.

F) On painted metal:
- Carefully wash the part with acetone.
- Sand with 320 or 600 grit sandpaper.
**IMPORTANT**
IF SOME METAL IS BARE, FOLLOW THESE STEPS.
- Apply 1K alkyd primer or Genicolor Professional Series 2K primer filler.
- Light sand with 600 grit sandpaper.
- Wash again with acetone to remove any dust.
You are ready to apply the paint.
2 coats are usually sufficient.

PVC / Aluminum / Metal and Wood
THIS PRODUCT CONTAINS A MAXIMAL EFFECT HARDENER MATCHING THE QUALITY OF ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURERS (OEM).
BEFORE ACTIVATION, IT CAN BE KEPT IN INVENTORY for 8 months. It will be good for use within 8 hours after activation.
When the repair requires a catalyzed paint, Genicolor has the ideal solution with its Professional Series 2K aerosol.
The catalyst contained in a separate compartment within the aerosol will help reach the hardness of the paint equal to the requirements of the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).
